Rules & Regulations | Application

The Young Performers Competition Awards four $500 scholarships – to be applied to tuition or the further study of music – to outstanding young musicians from our community. Scholarships are awarded in the following categories: School Age Piano, School Age Non-Piano, College Age Piano, College Age Non-Piano. Of the winners in those categories, one competitor will earn the Grand Prize – a chance to perform with the St Cloud Symphony Orchestra.

The competition is open to student musicians enrolled in an educational institution or studying music with a professional teacher in the following counties and who have not previously been awarded the Grand Prize. (The Grand Prize is the opportunity to perform with the orchestra.) The School Age Division students must reside in one of the following counties: Benton, Sherburne, Wright, Meeker, Kandiyohi, Pope, Douglas, Todd, Morrison and Stearns, and College Age Division contestants must be enrolled in an institution located within these counties.
